Our food has a story, and it begins with community. Help us to support a community just like ours, in their time of need. Kindred spirits, Mystic and Asheville share a small but vibrant culinary landscape; with local farms and food artisans supplying a network of independent restaurants. Food sustains us, food connects us, and when affected by adversity, we extend a helping hand to rebuild and restore a food community like ours.
The All Hands On Deck dinner will support The Culinary Gardener Farm, and ASAP, Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project.
Evan Chender, The Culinary Gardener, has a small farm in Asheville that has been significantly damaged by Hurricane Helene. The farm’s market has been decimated by the storm. We ask your help in funding the reconstruction of a critical food source in Asheville’s culinary community, and to help support the 7 dedicated employees who keep the farm running.
ASAP’s mission is to help local farms thrive, link farmers to markets and supporters, and build healthy communities through connections to local food. Donations to ASAP will directly serve the farm community that has been impacted by Hurricane Helene.
